In the early 1990s, 11-year-old Céleste travels with her family to a Caribbean island her father Terrence fled years ago. In the heart of the jungle, beneath a looming mountain, they discover Terrence’s childhood home — a forgotten architectural marvel swallowed by time and vegetation. As Terrence begins restoring the house, Céleste becomes irresistibly drawn to the mountain that towers above it. Her father reveals the truth: the mountain is a dormant volcano.
